osCommerce. How to deal with special characters in categories/products names using Ultimate Seo URLs 5 module

This tutorial shows how to deal with special characters and in categories/products names in Ultimate Seo_Urls_5 module.

1. Screenshot below shows category name with Cyrillic characters and incorrect URL.

2. In order to get the correct link you should install appropriate Character conversion pack to Ultimate Seo_Urls_5 module. You should download original ULTIMATE Seo Urls 5 module. You can download it at http://addons.oscommerce.com/info/6768
Please note that link can be changed.

3. Unzip the module go to Ultimate_Seo_Urls_5_PRO_r205\extras\character_conversion_pack folder.

4. Copy appropriate character conversion pack to includes\modules\ultimate_seo_urls5\includes\character_conversion folder of your Oscommerce engine. In our case Russian conversion pack is needed.

5. The files must be named exactly the same as your language file in catalog/includes/languages/. In our case it is english.php. We have renamed Russian conversion pack to english.php.

6. Refresh the home page. We can see that link is correct. Browser shows the correct link as well.
